Dual Licencing

We are offering a dual licencing for the AdFactum Object Mapper .NET.

  • Free - to use under the GPL Licence.

    If your software is also 100% GPL compliant, then you have no obligation to pay for the licenses. For further information on the GNU GPL, click here . Please note the following restrictions. If these do not suit your needs, you should consider to buy a commercial license.

    • The ObjectMapper .NET is free use for those who are 100% GPL. If your application is licensed under GPL, you are free to ship any GPL software of the ObjectMapper .NET with your application.
    • Under the Open Source License, you must release the complete source code for the application that is built on the ObjectMapper .NET, excluding the source code for operating system components that are usually installed on the computer on which the application will be installed.
    • You are allowed to copy the ObjectMapper .NET binaries and source code, but when you do so, the copies will fall under the GPL license.

  • Non Free - to use in commercial products or closed source projects.

    It's possible to get a licence of the AdFactum Object Mapper that allows you to use and distribute the component in a commercial product. A commercial product is every product or project that does not match the terms of the GPL. Commercially licensed users are free from the requirement of making their own application open source.

    Typical examples for a commercial licence of the ObjectMapper .NET are:

    • Selling software that includes the ObjectMapper.NET to customers who install the software on their own machines.
    • Selling software that requires customers to install the ObjectMapper .NET themselves on their own machines.
    • Building a hardware system that includes the ObjectMapper .NET and selling that hardware system to customers for installation at their own locations.
    • Distributing the ObjectMapper .NET within your organization.
